Huawei Ascend G300 hadir di Indonesia pada ajang Indonesian Cellular Show (ICS) 2012 di Jakarta bersamaan dengan Huawei Ascend P1 dan Huawei Ascend Y200. Ponsel ini memang tergolong low end dan di banderol dengan harga yang cukup terjangkau, namun tetap tidak menhilangkan fitur - fitur andalannya.
Layar sentuh kapasitif nya berukuran 4 inci dengan tingkat ketajam 480 x 800 pixels dengan asumsi teknologi IPS yang akan membuatnya terlihat sangat cerah ketika dipandang. Bentangan dimensinya 122.5 x 63 x 10.5mm dan bobotnya sebeart 140gram.
Di dapur perfroma, HP ini menggunakan processor sing;e-core berkecepatan 1 GHz Cortex-A5 dengan chipset Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon dan RAM 512MB. Sebagai penunjang grafis, handphone ini sudah dibenamkan GPU Adreno 200. Kapasitas memori internalnya sebesar 4GB dan masih dapat diperluas hingga 32GB dengan kertersediaan MicroSD.

Smartphone yang berjalan di sistem operasi Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread) ini memiliki kamera belakang berkekuatan 5MP beresolusi 2592Ñ…1944 pixels dengan sertaan fitur - fitur seperti autofocus, LED flash dan Geo-tagging. Namun Huawei tidak menyertakan kamera kedua di depan bodi.
